The Cheeseman company was established from humble beginnings in 1990 with a stall on the banks of the Knysna Lagoon. It has since expanded to two more outlets, one at Forest Gate, Harkerville, Plettenberg Bay, and the other at Scarab Village at Sedgefield.

Cheeseman is renowned for their wide variety of exotic, naturally produced cheeses and related products.

The objective is to educate and influence the public to buy more full-bodied, full-of-flavour cheese, a superior quality product in contrast to the usual mass-produced, coloured commercial cheeses available.
